Last Stop, Get the Hell Off

Filed under: Uncategorized — Katrina @ 12:49 pm

So I have arrived…driven cross-country, kicked the road dirt off of my boots and settled into a new nest. This nest hangs delicately in the balance 20 floors above a sprawling metropolis. The air feels different on my skin – less like the lick of an angry skillet and more like a trickle of cool water meandering down my back. My days have been filled with boxes and odds & ends…and endless parade of miscellany that must be stuffed/crammed out of site for sanity. And I wait, ponder, dally and repeat. I have handed out my resume like change plunking into a beggar’s cup without reprieve – I am still suspended from the ranks of the gainfully employed. But in turn I have caught up on my novel devouring, my organizing and my monstrous web-addiction – I have been busy indeed. And now I share my space, my time, my bad habits with a kindred spirit. Whether my state-of-mind is contagious is yet to be seen – but it is oh so nice to have bunk-mate, so to speak. ;)
