Our venture to the Veteran’s Day Parade was a success. Quinten was happy to watch both the parade participants and the other children watching the parade. I took lots of pictures, and figured I’d share those in lieu of writing (much).

Quinten really liked watching their flags fly with the wind.

Contemplating his next Cheerios handful.

Putting the flag to good use.

Santa apparently rides in a Corvette, not a sleigh.

My favorite part of the parade – the APD Pipe and Drum Corp (drool).

I thought this was a bit of a departure from the usual kilt and spats.

This woman was part of the group marching as relatives of Civil War veterans (I can’t remember their exact title).

This rodeo clown was there without his barrel.

This little cutie pie is just a bit older than Q. He had a lot of fun trying to walk with the parade.
Quinten happily sat in his stroller for most of the parade, much to my surprise. This was probably due to my sitting on the curb beside him. Afterwards we headed over to the austinmamas garage sale outside The Austin Baby Store and The Soup Peddler. We hit the jackpot with a couple new outfits for Quinten. We also decided to make a test-foray into cloth diapering and bought a few of these. I like the idea of a single-size diaper that expands with the child. If this proves a successful experiment, we could save a lot of money in the long run with not having to buy so many disposables.

Young Master Q modeling for his adoring public.
