12 inches of love

One year ago today, I went from this:

To this:

All was done in the spirit of good deeds, wherein I donated 12 inches of my hair to Locks of Love.

Now I have this:

During pregnancy, my hair seems to grow relatively quickly.  This is the result after having had about 2 inches chopped off just before we shipped out to Minnesota last month.  In theory, I’d like to provide another donation to Locks of Love.  Of course, if my grey growth quickens any more, by the time I could feasibly part with 12 inches of hair and not be sporting a pixie do I’ll be too grey to donate.  Despite my hopes and wishes, it’s becoming apparent that I will be greying in a pattern similar to my Dad’s side of the family instead of my Mom’s side, where some of the women still had nearly full heads of dark, luscious hair into their 90s.

Now I’m off wondering what I’ll look like as the naughty, grey-haired librarian.
