So it’s been a little over a year since our last update.  Because I’m lazy, I think I’m just going to edit the existing text.  Ditto on that, new update 07/13/09

Perhaps it’s time I actually put some information about myself here that is relative to my current life and status.

Hi! I’m Katrina! When my schedule permits, I like to write things here. Sometimes these things are even funny, or at least punny. Sometimes it’s just me taking a mental dump, but I suppose even that can be funny to some people. If anything, those moments might fulfill your need for  schadenfreude, at the very least.  I’ve been blogging in some variety since 2002.  It’s been a grand journey which might someday get me enough writing practice to actually pull up my big-girl panties and try my hand at writing words that get printed on actual paper!  Here’s to hoping….

I have 2 children now, a spunky preschooler who will be 3 in December, and a sweet baby girl born February 23, 2009.  Updates have been scarce because I’m too busy emptying the potty, nursing my girl, and chasing around said preschooler.  Typically I try not to do all those things concurrently, but one never knows what the next day will bring.

Whatever purpose this blog used to serve, it has largely morphed into a parenting site. So you’ll have to bear with me while I gush about spectacular thing number eleventy-million Grand Master Q and Little Miss E have done.  It’s nonstop action at our house, for sure.  Prior to spawning any progeny, it was a catchall for whatever flavor of bullshit or flowers was coming up that week.  Or probably better said, a means to capture my mid-to-late 20s angst.  Thanks be THAT crap is over with.

Outside of my favorite duty (being Mama), I am a staff accountant for a local bio-tech company. Armed with my adding machine and mechanical pencil I sometimes want to do violent things to my co-workers, but mostly I just simmer and think up good things to say to them in my head and continue punching numbers into the adding machine.
